2025 Awardees

2025 Awardees

Digital Technology awards

2025 was an amazing year for the Afree foundation. We were able to award 3 organizations with laptops valued at $180,000. The organizations receiving the digital technology awards were The Congolose community of Scranton, Common Grounds ministries and The Youth empowerment project. These organizations have a strong focus on uplifting disenfranchised youth in underserved communities and we wanted to ensure they could reach their goals with our support and collaboration.

Together with these organizations we implemented after school programs that focus on education, mentorship and digital access to health services. Afree understands the importance of uplifting organization by leveraging our technological capabilities.

Geisinger medical students helped with distribution of the laptops for the 2025 awardees.

Black Girls Code (Luzerne County)

Professor Woodard of Wilkes University received a $1000 grant towards the Black girls code Program Scheduled for 2026 thanks to the collaboration of the Afree foundation and the Robert Spitz Foundation. Their generosity helped us bridge a technology program across Lackawanna and Luzerne counties.
