Today marks a historic milestone for Pennsylvania, Afree Foundation, and the future of smart infrastructure nationwide. We are proud to announce the official groundbreaking of Infratech™, a completely new skilled trade and revolutionary workforce pathway created to power the intelligent buildings of tomorrow.
Infratech is the first industry in the nation to combine AI, sensors, and infrastructure into a unified diagnostic system — and it was born right here at Afree.
From concept to prototype, from idea to statewide movement, Infratech represents a bold leap forward in the way we design, maintain, and protect the homes our communities rely on. Powered by our patent-pending Bloxi™ and Bloop™ technology, Infratech technicians will install the sensor networks and communication systems that allow buildings to detect faults, monitor performance, and improve energy efficiency in real time.

This new field opens doors to high-paying, future-proof green jobs, designed specifically to include younger workers, underrepresented communities, and individuals historically left out of the skilled trades. With shorter, hands-on training periods and on-the-job learning built directly into the model, the Infratech pathway brings equitable access to the forefront of the clean-energy transition.

By removing unnecessary barriers and focusing on hands-on learning, real-world skills, and rapid job placement, Infratech creates a true second chance for returning citizens while also giving young people a powerful first step into a career with real growth, stability, and dignity.
